Description

The object (a globe surmounted by a cross) is held in the hands of the Virgin Mary (Our Lady).
The globe and the cross (Latin : globus cruciger) is also known as the "cross-bearing orb". As a symbol of Christianity, the cross is put over the globe/orb as the belief that Christ takes dominance and blesses the world.
