Looking carefully at the central pictorial element on the obverse of South Vietnam 200 dong banknote in 1958, we can notice a lot of cars being parked in front of the former Indochina bank, then National State Bank in South Vietnam. The cars emphasize the vivid transactions of the bank which demonstrates a stable and wealthy economy in the South Vietnam compared to its North Vietnamese counterpart.
