Seal-like Coin of French Indochina

Title

Seal-like Coin of French Indochina

Description

The seal-like coin of French Indochina depicts the Goddess of Liberty with fasces (symbol of justice and power) in her right hand, and her left hand puts on a ship's tiller.
On her right side is a sheaf of rice, while on her left side is an anchor.
The text printed on the seal is "Republique Francaise" (English translation: "French Republi").

This seal was derived from Great Seal of France, but the sheaf of wheat was altered by the sheaf of rice, and the burning light, the painter's palette, the Ionic order, the cogwheel, the vessel with the acronym of suffrage universel (S.U) and the Gallic rooster disappeared. This seal was engraved on the obverse of many coins of French Indochina.
