Title
Broken pediments
Description
Broken pediments, parts of the architecture of the Paragon building, include a gap between two symmetrical triangles at the top. This pediment design was popular during the Baroque period where many varieties of the classical pediment were born. In such style, the space below the Raking Sima is decorated with relief of flowers and the architrave is curved instead of traditionally straight design.
