Eclecticism

Eclecticism (from Greek "eklektikos", “selective”) is a conceptual approach that takes on multiple theories, styles, or ideas of different school of thoughts to gain insights to a subject. Eclecticism often negates conventions or rules to gain freedom of how or which theories are combined.
