The middle sculpture of Marianne at the City Hall

The middle sculpture features a female figure accompanied by two children and two wild animals. The child on the left holds a long staff pointing at the woman figure, while the boy on the right is stepping between the two fierce animals. The female figure is most prominent with her taking-off-cloak posture, similar to the image of half-naked Marianne in the Liberty Leading People painting. Her position also suggests that they bravely lead each other out of danger, to liberty.
