Description
District 7 is an urban district of Ho Chi Minh City. In 2018, District 7 covered an area of 35.69 sqkm with a population of 145,035 (HCM Office of Statistics 2014). During the 1990s, the area was economically underdeveloped with swampy land. Since 1994, the government has been planning to develop this area. In 1996, Phu My Hung company started to build the infrastructure for this area. In the 2000s, the modern residential area was completed and led to the economic development of this place (An Hung 2018). References:
