Title

Egg-and-dart ornaments

Description

Egg-and-dart ornaments have repeated oval-shaped ornament (usually shaped like an egg) followed by a non-curve decoration (usually looked like a dart, hence the name egg-and-dart). However, it has a few variants like egg-and-anchor, egg-and-tongue, etc. The ornaments can be 3D-shaped or 2D-shaped. This type of ornaments started from ancient Greek and was later used in neoclassical architecture.
