A female figure wears a cloak and wreath on her head. Her left hand holds a branch of leaves. Her right hand holds a globe where the statue of a female figure standing on. This smaller statue wears a helmet and holds a torch, which are the attributes of Demeter/Ceres – the goddess of harvest and agriculture. However, both figures can be different representations of Marianne – the symbolic figure of France.
